Collective agreement

Your collective agreement sets out your rights and responsibilities at work.  If you have any concerns about your treatment, please talk to your steward or a member of the executive.

Our bylaws set out the rules for how our local democratically elects our representatives, and how it is run.

Benefits

As a CUPE Local 4653 member, you are be entitled to benefits as set out in the Collective Agreement.

If you have questions or concerns about your benefits, please contact School District 60 Human Resources Department at (250) 262-6000. If you require assistance from the union with benefits claims, or have further questions after you speak with someone from Human Resources, please contact your department steward, or contact CUPE 4653.

Dental, vision care and extended health benefits are provided through Pacific Blue Cross. To submit a claim:

Short and long term disability, group life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance are provided through Desjardins Insurance:

 

Pensions

Pensions for CUPE 4653 members are provided through the BC Municipal Pension Plan (MPP).  If you have questions about your eligibility for the plan or anything else and you can't get a good answer from the employer, talk to your steward or a member of the executive.
